NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF UNIVERSITY CALLS

The Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) coordinates a scholarship project addressed to Palestinian students residing in the Palestinian Territories so that they can benefit from international training by accessing academic programs in Italy. 

• Scholarship Provision: Scholarships will be awarded starting from the 2025-2026 academic year and are intended for an entire cycle of studies. The maintenance of the scholarship for each year of the study program will be subject to the merit and performance requirements established by each university. 
• Italian Language Course: Before the start of academic programs in Italy, students will participate in an Italian language course organized within the project, lasting 5 months, from June 3rd to October 30th, 2025. This course will be held in Bethlehem and Ramallah. 

• May 8th, 2025: Publication of the CRUI Notice; Opening of the university calls for scholarships; Opening of registrations for the Italian language course provided by the IUPALS Project. 
• May 23rd, 2025: Deadline for registrations for the Italian language course provided by the IUPALS Project. 
• June 3rd, 2025: Start of the Italian language course at the Bethlehem and Ramallah locations. 
• October 23rd, 2025: End of the Italian language course.
• November 30th, 2025: final deadline to submit the study visa application to the Offices of the Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem (it is recommended to submit applications well in advance of the planned departure date to Italy).

Il ministro dell’Interno, Matteo Piantedosi, il ministro dell’Istruzione e del Merito, Giuseppe Valditara, il ministro dell’Università e della Ricerca, Anna Maria Bernini, e la presidente della Conferenza dei Rettori delle Università Italiane (CRUI), Giovanna Iannantuoni, hanno sottoscritto oggi un Accordo Quadro finalizzato alla promozione di percorsi di cittadinanza attiva per la formazione e la partecipazione degli studenti alle funzioni degli uffici elettorali.

L’iniziativa, nata da una collaborazione interistituzionale, mira a rafforzare il coinvolgimento dei giovani nella vita democratica del Paese, formando cittadini qualificati per svolgere il ruolo di presidente o componente dei seggi elettorali. Contestualmente, l’accordo contribuirà a risolvere le criticità nella costituzione dei seggi, dovute all’elevato numero di sezioni sul territorio nazionale.

Il modello operativo definito dall’accordo prevede la stipula, a livello locale, di Protocolli di intesa tra prefetture, uffici scolastici regionali, istituzioni scolastiche e università, che disciplineranno progetti formativi specifici in materia elettorale.

I destinatari dell’iniziativa sono sia studenti universitari che potranno partecipare a percorsi di formazione teorico-pratica, con possibilità di tirocini presso prefetture e comuni e riconoscimento di crediti formativi, che studenti del secondo biennio e dell’ultimo anno delle scuole secondarie di secondo grado, che, nell’ambito dei Percorsi per le competenze trasversali e per l’orientamento (PCTO), seguiranno progetti di educazione civica e formazione giuridico-economica.

A supporto dell’attuazione dell’accordo, sarà istituito presso il dipartimento per gli Affari Interni e Territoriali del ministero dell’Interno un Tavolo di monitoraggio con rappresentanti di tutte le istituzioni coinvolte.

Il sistema universitario italiano si unisce al profondo cordoglio della comunità cattolica per il decesso di Sua Santità Papa Francesco, annunciato stamattina dalla Santa Sede.

Un Papa riformista e un uomo vicino da sempre agli ultimi della Terra, che credeva fermamente nell’università in quanto istituzione che ha il compito di “allargare i confini e diventare uno spazio aperto per l'uomo e per la società.”

Alle società umane viene meno un punto di riferimento importante per la mitigazione delle ingiustizie sociali e la risoluzione pacifica dei conflitti.
